In a January 2012 fact sheet the Social Security Press Office released some timley information for women.
1. Women have a greater chance of exhausting other sources of income not adjusted for inflation.
2. Women average $12,000 less annually than men, if they were full-time, mediam earning, working-age in 2010.
3. Women in 2010 age 65 and older received an average annual Social Security income that was $3,437 less than men.
